Richard is a chartered accountant who has been working with Moore Stephens all his career. He was managing partner and senior partner of Moore Stephens LLP in London and chairman of Moore Stephens International overseeing its change to Moore Global. Early in 2019 he established Moore Family Office as part of Moore Global to specialise in looking after the international families and their UK requirements with whom he had been working for over forty years. Richard specialises in advising high net worth clients and their related corporate interests on issues such as international structures and how they can be used safely, compliantly and productively in a world of increasing regulation, together with tax planning particularly relating to the UK such as domicile and residence matters and property interests, and financial reporting. His client portfolio includes substantial international families and entities in the shipping, asset management, property investment, and sports and leisure sectors. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant with Moore Stephens, winning the Deloitte Plender Prize for Accounting. He worked in New York, Sydney and Hong Kong before returning to London, where he became managing partner of Moore Stephens in 1987 and senior partner in 1989. He is now a director of Moore Family Office Limited. Richard was a Commissioner of the Royal Hospital Chelsea for six years until 2012 and has served on various committees for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
